Keynote speaker

Lauren Massie

Lauren Massie is a workforce development leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing STEM, career-technical education and workforce initiatives across Ohio. She currently serves as Director of Workforce Services at the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, where she leads statewide efforts to align education and training opportunities with the evolving needs of industry.

Previously, Lauren held senior leadership roles at Central Ohio Technical College, the Career & Technology Education Centers of Licking County, the Ohio Department of Education, and the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Throughout her career, she has launched innovative programs, managed multimillion-dollar grants, and built partnerships that expand access to high-quality career pathways for both adults and youth.

Recognized for her leadership, Lauren has received the Bill Ruth Career Technical Leadership Award, multiple Ohio ACTE distinctions, and Licking County’s “20 Under 40” award. She is an active member of several boards and professional associations.

Lauren holds a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and maintains an Administrator/Principal’s License from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

Nick Miller

Nick Miller is the Managing Director of Member Services and Policy Engagement at the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, where he works directly with business leaders to advance manufacturing policy priorities. Previously, Nick served as Vice President of Membership at the Ohio Trucking Association and spent more than five years working in trade associations in Washington, D.C., including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Over the course of his career, Nick has worked directly with thousands of company leaders to help them engage in the political process to advance the interests of the business community.

A graduate of Miami University, Nick lives in Grove City with his wife and two golden retrievers.
