Project RISE created these video tours of regional manufacturing businesses to share with middle and high school students in celebration of manufacturing week 2022.

Mrs. Friede's Shenandoah 8th grade language arts class "Problem Based Learning" scenario was "How does Micro Machine Works Attract More Employees for it's Business?"

There were approximately 90 eighth grade students (15 teams) involved with coming up with solutions to the problem. About 20 students visited Micro Machine Works and observed the work that Micro Machine Works does, interviewed the employees, took pictures, made videos, tried there hand at making some things.

About a month later they presented their solutions to Micro Machine Works. These kids were amazing. They had prepared Power Point Presentations, videos, jingles, signage, merchandise such as branded hats and T-shirts, websites and social media messages to help alleviate Micro Machine Works problem. This video is just one example of the excellent work they did.
