This class builds on fundamental Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) techniques and focuses on improving weld quality, precision, and consistency across various joint types and positions.
Topics Include: Review of SMAW fundamentals and safety practices, Advanced electrode selection (including 7018, 6010, 6011), Welding in multiple positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead),Fillet and groove welds on mild steel, Joint preparation and fit-up techniques
Requirements:
Students must have completed an introductory stick welding course or have equivalent experience.
Two person maximum per class.
