AOMC Employees

Linn Yost, President

Linn Yost is the owner of Micro Machine Works, Inc.—a CNC Machining facility in Barlow, Ohio creating tight tolerance parts and assemblies for the Aerospace, DoD, Health Sciences, Geosciences, Food Processing and Chemical Industries.

At one time, he was the International Manager of Strata-Vision, Inc.—a Division of Nowsco Well Service in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Strata-Vision was a manufacturer and operator of downhole video inspection equipment primarily for the oil and gas industries. Linn is the owner and founder of Strata-Vision, Inc. in Barlow, Ohio—which video logged the first horizontal well in United States.

Linn served as a photographer for 8 years in the US Navy. He is an Eagle Scout and a past Scout Master.

Linn is also the President of AOMC. He currently serves on the boards of the Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) Apprentice Works Program, Building Bridges 2 Careers (BB2C), and on curriculum advisory & business advisory boards of many high schools and community colleges in Southeast Ohio.

George Bilokonsky, Workforce

George is a change agent for innovation and growth. With experience in planning, developing, marketing and implementing strategies for growth, he has a proven track record of working with industry to help build workforce needs; coordinating and overseeing daily activities; providing management for all aspects of programs; monitoring grants to ensure all grant requirements are satisfied, purchasing equipment as needed; developing new programs as needed; and leveraging strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with all internal and external customers.

George served as Dean of Engineering, Business, Technology, and Workforce at Washington State Community College, and as Associate Dean of Engineering and Workforce, Director of the Youth Technology Academy (YTA), the Advanced Technology Academy (ATA) and the Summer Pathways Project (SPP) at Cuyahoga Community College

Trevor Cochran, Manager Workforce Development and Training

Trevor Cochran is an engineering professional with a strong educational foundation. His educational background includes a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Technology from Jacksonville State University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and Management from Ohio University, cultivating a well-rounded academic background. His industrial experience spans various roles, including engineering at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he contributed to the development of manufacturing processes and supported production for laboratory products. Additionally, his engineering experience includes expertise in drilling technology manufacturing, machining, and industrial maintenance. Trevor has served as an instructor at Washington State Community College, where he played a key role in designing an associate degree program in Advanced Manufacturing & Integration and instructed courses in engineering. His multifaceted expertise extends from engineering, technical education, and instruction, with certifications in areas such as industrial robotics and automation. Trevor combines a strong educational background with practical expertise, making significant contributions to the engineering and manufacturing fields.

Liz King, Machinist and Welding Technology Instructor/Technician

Liz King earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Bob Jones University and briefly worked as a sheriff's deputy in South Carolina. Wanting a change of direction, she earned an associates degree in welding from Washington State Community College.

Liz was a machinist at Micro Machine Works, Inc. for more than 5 years. During her time there, she became proficient in hand programming a mill and lathe, MasterCam, Solidworks, machine setup, and machine operation. 

She has an additional associates degree in CNC machining from Mountwest Community and Technical College and has completed an apprenticeship through the Robert C. Byrd Institute.           Liz was recently hired as a technical expert and instructor my AOMC. 

Liz King has been enlisted in the West Virginia Air National Guard as a HAZMAT medic for over 10 years, and has attained the rank of Technical Sergeant.

In her (very!) spare time, Liz gardens her tiny 0.19 acres with her wife, Mariah. Together, they dote on their 4 cats: Stevie, Nicks, Annie, and Lennox.

Ralph Workman

As a proud veteran having served as an Officer in the United States Army, Ralph has a passion for manufacturing with 30+ years as a leader in Engineering and Operations Management for various Tier 1 national and international OEM companies. Currently serving as Continuous Improvement Professional for global corporation QuidelOrtho, Ralph is considered a Subject Matter Expert in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Technical Training, CAD/CAM, CNC Machining, Robotics and Automation. Ralph holds an undergraduate AS degree in Drafting and Design with a BS degree in Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Post-graduate certificates include Financial Management from Cornell University and Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School. Ralph is currently serving as Vice Chairperson for Washington State Community College’s Engineering Advisory Board and as Vice Chairperson for RCBI-Marshall University’s Workforce Advisory Board.

Joe Grimm

Joe Grimm began his 61-year medical device manufacturing career at age 16 as an electronics technician with Marietta based Forma Scientific. In 1983, he founded Grimm Scientific which currently manufacturers three temperature controlled medical devices for use in sports medicine; CRYOTherm, CRYOPress, and PARATherm. This summer Grimm Scientific is expanding into their newly renovated 18,000 sq. ft. Technology Center at 707 Gilman Ave. in Marietta. Their workforce currently numbers eighteen with immediate plans for twenty-five employees through vertical integration and product development.

Shawn Mallett

Shawn Mallett has over 25 years in operations management. His work experience includes titles of Operations Manager, Contract Administration Lead, Director of Sales & Marketing, Continuous Improvement Leader, Plant Manager, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Operations, Site Lead for QuidelOrtho. Shawn performed his undergrad at Marshall University and attended WVU for his Executive MBA. He has a LEAN SSBB from Villanova University and is a Change Management professional through University of Alberta.

Wayne Anderson

Wayne Anderson has 35+ years manufacturing background working in multiple industries such as Civil, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals,Carbon Black, and Polymers. Throughout his career he has held various leadership roles in facility Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Technical Services, Capital Projects, Logistics, Health & Safety, Training & Compliance, etc. Anderson is currently serving as the Manufacturing Excellence Site Change Leader for the Solvay Polymers plant in Marietta, Ohio. This broad exposure and experience gives him unique insights as to the needs and challenges of manufacturing in our region.

Tasha Werry - Ex Officio

Tasha Werry started her professional career as a middle school teacher with Marietta City Schools and taught for 12 years. Moving into a grant coordinator's position with the district propelled her into supporting the schools with implementation of school reform initiatives. Throughout this work, she realized a need for deepening the relationship between the community, the local businesses and the schools, not just Marietta City Schools, but all schools in the county. Building upon collaborative efforts already in motion, Tasha supported the founding of Building Bridges to Careers (BB2C) in 2012 to further connect students, teachers, and parents to business and community adults in order to inspire career choices for students. She went on to complete her Educational Doctorate in 2016, with BB2C as the focus of her research. BB2C has since worked to develop programs that engage all stakeholders and support the mission, and became an official non-profit in 2017. The most recent endeavor of BB2C is expanding the community and career connected learning concept to all of southeast Ohio through the BB2C Network. Werry was also awarded a fellowship to the Appalachian Leadership Institute, class of 2022-2023.

AOMC Interns

Colleen McGuire

Colleen McGuire is a rising senior in the Industrial and Systems Engineering program at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Originally from the Washington D.C. area, she has studied process improvement, optimization, and data analysis. In addition to her engineering degree, Colleen is pursuing a minor in Computer Science and has an interest in software development.

At Ohio University, Colleen is currently part of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) and Alpha Pi Mu Industrial Engineering Honor Society. She is also an Engineering Ambassador, one of a select few engineering students chosen to represent the college of engineering and interact with prospective students.

Colleen has experience programming in Python, C++, Java, VBA, and SQL, as well as knowledge in Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Excel. She has a passion for programming and process optimization and is excited to bring her knowledge and skills to AOMC!

Evan Adams

Evan is an intern in AOMC’s Manufacturing Support Center and pursuing a degree in Engineering. He chose ETM at at Ohio University because he gets experience with so many different types of engineering fields. He has worked with metal machining tools, code PLC’s and micro-controllers, and model with Solidworks. On top of that ETM teaches students to manage a project from start to finish giving them the business side perspective to engineering.

Evan has practice with software languages such as C, C#, C++, Arduino, Codesys, and Click.

Nick Sohn

Nick is an intern in AOMC’s Manufacturing Support Center and pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology and Management (ETM) and a minor in Business Administration. The ETM program has provided him with a wide range of hands-on engineering experiences. As part of his studies, he is also working towards obtaining certificates in Lean Enterprise Methods and Enterprise Project Management. He has experience with various software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and C# and has completed specialized coursework in areas such as plastics, production metal machining, metal fabrication and casting, assembly, PLC wiring/coding, and hydraulics.

Jaden Martin

Jaden is a 2023 high school graduate and is an intern at AOMC’s Manufacturing Support Center. He is pursuing a degree in Advanced Manufacturing & Integration Technology and Mechanical Engineering—giving him a wide variety of applicable skills. Jaden enjoys a hands-on work environment and also has experience with SolidWorks. Jaden has earned the OSHA-10 General Industry Safety Certification. He is a Certified Production Technician 4.0 and he also has an Authorized Fork Truck Operator license.
